Dr. Sugintas earned a Bachelor Degree with High Honors and Distinction in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Illinois in Urbana. She also has completed MBA curriculum at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Sugintas is a highly respected healthcare GPO industry veteran with over four decades of experience. She has successfully served in mission critical national leadership roles including Sr. VP of National Accounts and Sr. VP of Business Development with full P&L responsibility for the GPO sector for a diverse group of medtech, medical capital equipment, healthcare information technology, medical surgical, medical device, and patient monitoring technology companies from Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies to emerging growth start-ups. Dr. Sugintas’ accomplishments in the GPO industry include landmark GPO contract acquisition and market expansion deals, including a 400% increase in revenue with HealthTrust for a healthcare services organization, and the acquisition of a new GPO partner, Intalere, representing $19 billion in spend. Dr. Sugintas has been recognized and honored in 2014 by Intalere (now Vizient), one of the largest GPOs in the nation, for outstanding contract growth. Equally experienced in the IDN (Integrated Delivery Network) space, Dr. Sugintas has secured over 300 IDN (integrated Delivery Network) contracts nationwide for a start-up emerging growth company, including record setting agreements with some of the most prestigious IDNs in the nation, including the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Advocate Health, one of the country’s largest health systems with $27 billion in revenues.
Dr. Sugintas also has extensive experience in leadership of emerging growth and pre-revenue start-ups, and was instrumental in growing HealthGrades from pre-revenue concept to the eventual sale at $294M to Investar Capital Partners.

Previously, Dr. Sugintas served in a national executive leadership role as Sr. VP of Business Development for the Healthcare Vertical for Aramark, a global $19 billion food and facilities service provider to healthcare, business, private equity firms, and education. Dr. Sugintas held national responsibiity for all aspects of business development, sales, marketing, and operations with full P&L responsibility for the entire aggregated healthcare provider and private equity firm segment, including HealthTrust, CoreTrust, Premier, Intalere, Novation, MedAssets, and Vizient. Under her leadership, organic growth increased by 600% and a new GPO contract acquisition was secured, representing the largest healthcare GPO in the nation with $208 billion in spend.
Dr. Sugintas has served on numerous Boards including Officer and Board Director of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and the Lithuanian Scouts Association. She is a Benefactor for the Princess Grace Foundation, a charity established by Prince Rainier III of Monaco.
